The Snowdonia Challenge and Wild Night Out 2017

Posted on May 3rd 2017 by Jason Rawles

When my friends at Breese Adventures asked me to talk at The Snowdonia Challenge it was my honour to say yes. The Snowdonia Challenge is an inaugural outdoors event where people/teams walk 100km around the mountains over 3 days. This is a fully supported event and I have to say, it looks pretty fine.

As well as it being a challenge 15% from each registration will be donated to great causes within Snowdonia National Park. Awesome!

You only have a few more weeks to confirm places so please check out their website HERE and get involved.

I shall be talking on the Saturday night at around 20:15 for 45mins or so. Topics yet to be confirmed, but along the lines of –

  1. How adventure fills your life with goodness
  2. The Adventurer Club
  3. Up and coming book launch
  4. My lessons learnt from business and adventure
  5. Call to action

I shall then be heading outdoors to sleep in the wild and I invite anyone from the Challenge to join me…read on for why!

Starting on the 30th June and ending on the 2nd July it also falls when something else is taking part. The Wild Night Out 2017  takes place on the 1st July and encourages people to sleep out in the wild and raise awareness for youth charities like the Duke of Edinburgh scheme and the Youth Adventure Trust.

My great friend Belinda heads up Explorers Connect who spearhead this campaign.

Check out their website HERE for details, registration and tips to get out in the wild. This event is supported by Ordnance Survey which is a double whammy as a proud champion of theirs!

So, as mentioned, on Saturday 1st July, after the talk, I’ll be heading out in to the wild to sleep outside and support this. Please feel free to CONTACT ME if you like to join in. This is not a guided event, it’s individual, but I can certainly help with any questions about kit etc.

As always, thanks for reading and please feel free to COMMENT or SHARE. Also don’t forget to connect with me on Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. I’d love to see what you’re up to so tag me and let’s all #GetOutside.

Have fun!

Jason
